Uttarakhand is referred to as the “Land of Gods,” or Dev Bhoomi because it is home to several holy sites, temples, and other attractions that draw millions of tourists and enlightened individuals seeking enlightenment. The pilgrimage of the four Dhams—Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri—located in the Garhwal region is regarded as the most sacred site in all of India.
Along with marking the spiritual source of four sacred rivers, these four ancient temples are located near the Yamuna (Yamunotri), Ganga (Gangotri), Mandakini (Kedarnath), and Alaknanda (Badrinath).
